Mission 4:19 operates as a nonprofit organization under the oversight of a dedicated Board of Directors. The board is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the mission, ensuring responsible financial management, and providing strategic guidance for sustainable growth.

Board of Directors

Jon Sumpter
Founder
Jon Sumpter is a U.S. Army Veteran and retired public servant with over 33 years of leadership in the United States Postal Service. A lifelong outdoorsman, he founded Mission 4:19 Outdoors to restore connection, confidence, and purpose for veterans and first responders through faith-centered outdoor experiences.

Nate Miller
Board Member
Nate Miller is a seasoned executive, author, and speaker known for developing high-impact leaders and thriving organizations. With years of experience as a hospital CEO and consultant, he offers strategic guidance and a heart for strengthening mission-driven work.

Dru Davison
Board Member
Dr. Dru Davison is an educator and community leader whose work centers on expanding access to the arts and strengthening connections between communities and cultural institutions. He has spent his career supporting teachers and students through thoughtful collaboration, professional learning, and student-centered programming.
Rooted in a deep appreciation for the outdoors and the natural beauty of the Ozarks, Dru values the restorative power of time spent in nature and the importance of reflection, creativity, and steady growth.

Justin Hall
Board Member
Justin Hall is a Staff Aeronautical Engineer who specializes in building solid rocket propulsion motors for various precision fire and missile defense systems at Lockheed Martin. Justin’s passion as a propulsion engineer comes from a life-long obsession with learning and a drive to constantly improve. Justin has received multiple awards and honors in addition to holding several lead roles for projects that protect our warfighters at home and overseas. Justin holds an Associate of Science from NorthWest Arkansas Community College, Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arkansas, and Master of Science in Engineering Management also from the UofA. Justin is currently enrolled as a doctorate of engineering candidate at Pennsylvania State University.
Justin grew up hunting and fishing with his grandfather in the woods of south central Arkansas. He and his wife, Bailey, are expecting their first child in March.
Officers
The Officers of Mission 4:19 Outdoors serve in designated leadership roles responsible for the day-to-day oversight, administration, and operational execution of the organization’s mission. While the Board of Directors provides governance and strategic direction, the Officers ensure that vision is carried out with integrity, excellence, and accountability.
Officers oversee organizational operations, financial stewardship, compliance with nonprofit regulations, program implementation, and coordination of volunteers and mission events. They work collaboratively to maintain transparency, protect the organization’s faith-based values, and ensure every initiative reflects our commitment to honoring God through service, conservation, and community.
Through prayerful leadership and practical management, the Officers help translate mission into movement — guiding Mission 4:19 Outdoors in serving veterans, first responders, and families through meaningful outdoor experiences.

Trevyn Faulkner
President
Trevyn Faulkner was raised on a fourth-generation cattle farm in the Ozarks, where he developed a deep respect for hard work, land, and tradition. With a lifelong passion for fishing and the outdoors passed down from his family, Trevyn is proud to volunteer with Mission 4:19 Outdoors, supporting veterans through guided hunting and fishing experiences.

Joe Tyree
Vice President
Joe Tyree is a proud United States Marine Corps veteran who served during the Iraq War. His commitment to service continued after his military career, as he went on to serve his community through the local fire department, further demonstrating his dedication to protecting and supporting others.
Joe is the owner of Simple Simon’s Pizza and an active leader within the Bentonville community. Known for his work ethic, integrity, and servant leadership, he brings both business experience and a heart for service to every role he undertakes.
Outside of his professional responsibilities, Joe has a deep appreciation for the outdoors. Whether spending time in the woods or on the water, he finds renewal and perspective in God’s creation. Above all, his faith remains the foundation of his life, guiding his leadership, service, and commitment to what matters most.

Kristin Sumpter
Secretary/Treasurer
Kristin Sumpter is a faith-based author, national award-winning journalist, and real estate executive broker with over 25 years of experience in writing, marketing, and leadership.
A graduate of Leadership Arkansas and former brokerage owner, she has served on numerous boards and brings strategic communication expertise to the organization.
An avid outdoorswoman, Kristin enjoys duck and turkey hunting and fishing alongside her family.

Jennifer Hess
Enrolled Agent | Accounting & Financial Advisor
Jennifer Laura Hess is an Enrolled Agent and member of the National Association of Tax Professionals. She holds an MBA and specializes in federal, state, and local tax compliance and resolution.
Her experience navigating complex tax matters and advocating for clients has equipped her to provide strong financial oversight and compliance guidance to Mission 4:19 Outdoors. Jennifer’s expertise has been instrumental in establishing the organization on a sound and sustainable foundation.
